Department of Energy Extends Comment Period

The U.S. Department of
Energy will publish the notice posted below in the Federal Register.
The notice announces that the period for submitting comments to
the proposed rule to amend the regulations implementing the loan
guarantee program authorized by section 1703 of Title XVII of the
Energy Policy Act of 2005 is extended to September 22, 2009.
Under Section 1703 of Title XVII, the Secretary of Energy is
authorized to make loan guarantees for eligible projects that
encourage the commercial use of new or significantly improved
energy technologies and achieve certain environmental benefits.
While we expect no changes, the published version will control.
